Germall Plus is a widely used, broad-spectrum preservative for cosmetics and personal care products, preventing bacteria, mold, and fungi in water-based formulas like lotions, shampoos, and creams, and it comes in both liquid (pre-dissolved) and powder forms, compatible with most ingredients and effective over a wide pH range, but shouldn’t be used in aerosols. Its main components are Diazolidinyl Urea (Germall II) and Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate (IPBC), mixed with Propylene Glycol for the liquid version, offering a reliable, synergistic preservation system for DIY and commercial products.
