La Brea – Brownfield

This is a small version of the limited edition print by the same name.  It is from the series and successful exhibition entitled, “After Basquiat: Fragmented Imagery | Mischievous Thoughts” (2019).   It is a series that is about “daily noise….observations…unlinked observations, thoughts – humorous and intense.”  The series is meant to encourage the viewer to slow down. observe. see. EXPERIENCE.  

It addresses the issue of pollution from the oil and gas industry and sends out an appeal for love and attention particularly for children living in the area.  The limited edition print and this small version both result in a 50% distribution to the La Brea Police Youth Club.
